Rate Relief Update – for Employees Earning $40,000 or Less

The university gives everyone a flat amount of $900 tax-free, in Benefit Dollars for the year. For employees who earn a full-time equivalent salary of $40,000 or less in 2012, the university will also provide an additional $300 per year in Benefit Dollars for Rate Relief.

This is an increase from the Rate Relief provided in 2011. Employees who earn less than $40,000 will now receive a total of $1,200 per year, or $50 per pay period in Benefit Dollars for Rate Relief. This is just one way in which you and university share in the cost of your benefits coverage.
