Late Breaking News

While our health and life insurance changes are minor for 2016, we do have some late-breaking (and positive additions) to the list of What’s Changing. These changes are outcomes from the work of the Marriage Benefits Task Force.

Additions to what’s changing for 2016:

  • Beginning with this year’s annual enrollment, you will be able to enroll an opposite-sex domestic partner in JHU’s benefits. You will need to complete an affidavit, just as you would to obtain coverage for a same-sex domestic partner.
  • We’ve also added transgender benefits coverage up to a $100,000 lifetime maximum.
  • Good news for adoption assistance—this benefit has been improved to include benefits up to $5,000 per family for a single adoption and $10,000 for multiple adoptions at a single time.
