Exciting changes and upcoming events for the Johns Hopkins Live Near Your Work (LNYW) Program
The LNYW program has expanded the $17,000 A-2 tier located in East Baltimore and increased D-tier grants to $3,000. What does this mean for Hopkins employees? It means even more neighborhoods and homes to choose from and more down payment/closing cost funds. But wait, that’s not all! On April 1, Hopkins began participation in a new City incentive program called Vacants to Values (V2V). The V2V program provides an extra $500 from the City to Hopkins employees who purchase a City-approved vacant home in one of the LNYW target grant areas of A, B or C.
The complete Baltimore City list of eligible properties can be found at: http://static.baltimorehousing.org/pdf/vtov_list.pdf. Additionally, Hopkins employees who attend one or more of the following LNYW Walking Tours are eligible to receive $1,000 toward the down payment/closing costs of a home purchase in the A,B or C target areas (property must settle on or before June 30, 2012).
