Randstad Corporate Services - our sole provider of temporary staffing services

The university will be changing the way it hires its temporary employees, resulting in savings of up to 23 percent over our current annual spending of $10.2 million. The change will take effect with a staggered roll-out across the divisions, starting March 17 with the schools of public health and nursing, March 31 for the department of medicine and IT@JH, and April 14 for the remainder of the school of medicine and all other schools in the university.

Our human resources team and Randstad are working together to ensure an orderly transition that both meets the university’s needs and supports the temporary workers currently on assignment here.

JHU and Randstad have agreed to select secondary providers best suited to serve in our approved-supplier network, where needed. Randstad will contact these providers—including those temporary agencies currently being used throughout the university—to discuss potential secondary supplier relationships and will contract directly with those suppliers. To support a successful transition, a series of training sessions will be planned for early March for those who manage temporary staff. This will be a great opportunity for individual JHU managers to learn more about this change, as well as about Randstad and their procurement process, their easy-to-use web-based requisitioning and time sheeting system. Randstad's on-site representatives will be available at these meetings to answer your questions.
