Applications for the 2014 Johns Hopkins Neighborhood Fund are now being accepted

United Way pledges directed to The Johns Hopkins Neighborhood Fund help local non-profits build stronger communities. Organizations within the Live Near Your Work footprint or a ¾ mile radius of certain Johns Hopkins campuses that provide services focused on community revitalization, education, employment, health, and/or public safety are eligible for funds. Grant applications describing the organization’s positive impact on the community require a Johns Hopkins sponsor (an employee, retiree, or student) and are due no later than Thursday, February 13, 2014 by 5:00 p.m.

If you are connected to an organization that may be interested in applying for funding, and you, as a Johns Hopkins employee, retiree, or student, would like to sponsor their application, direct them to www.hopkinsworklife.org/neighborhood-fund for this year’s grant application.

Additionally, if a representative from the nonprofit is interested in learning more about what the Neighborhood Fund Allocation Committee is looking for and to hear tips on completing the application, have them contact Kathleen Crostic at 443-997-0138 or kcrostic@jhu.edu to register for a pre-application workshop on Friday, January 31, 1:00-2:30 p.m. at Johns Hopkins at Eastern. Visit http://hopkinsworklife.org/neighborhood-fund for a list of previous grant recipients.
