Staff, Faculty, and Students Provide 1,000 School Uniforms to Support Baltimore City Students

Baltimore City Public Schools has turned to Johns Hopkins to support families who cannot afford the required student uniforms. Since 2011, thanks to the generosity of the Johns Hopkins community, we have met the need. During the 2013 Johns Hopkins Adopt-a-Student Uniform Drive, 500 students from 111 Baltimore City Public Schools were sponsored, providing students with two new uniforms each, to allow them to start the 2012-2013 school year prepared and ready to learn.
