Applications for the 2013 Johns Hopkins Neighborhood Fund are Now being Accepted
United Way pledges directed to The Johns Hopkins Neighborhood Fund help local non-profits build stronger communities. Organizations within the Live Near Your Work footprint or a ¾ mile radius of certain Johns Hopkins campuses that provide services focused on community revitalization, education, employment, health, and/or public safety are eligible for funds. Grant applications describing the organization’s positive impact on the community require a Johns Hopkins sponsor (an employee, retiree, or student) and are due no later than Wednesday, February 13, 2013 by 5:00 p.m.
To help organizations complete the grant application (http://www.jhu.edu/neighborhoodfund), the Neighborhood Fund Allocation Committee will host a pre-application workshop on Tuesday, January 8, 10:00 a.m. to noon at Johns Hopkins at Eastern. Participants will learn what the committee is looking for and hear some tips for completing the application. To register for the workshop or ask questions, please contact Kathleen Crostic at firstname.lastname@example.org or 443-997-0138.
Since its inception, The Johns Hopkins Neighborhood Fund has awarded 79 grants, 21 of which were awarded in 2012. Visit http://jhu.edu/neighborhoodfund for a list of previous grant recipients.
