More House 4 Less This program is offered
through The Maryland Community Development Administration (CDA) to offer assistance
in the form of low interest rate home loans for employees purchasing homes in
targeted areas throughout the entire State of Maryland. To be eligible for the
program applicants must obtain their loan through the CDA’s Down payment Settlement
Expense Loan Program (DSELP). To qualify for a DSELP loan, applicants must be
using a CDA Maryland Mortgage Program first mortgage and meet the income limits
and maximum acquisition costs. The new home must also be located in a priority
funding area, which includes all of Baltimore City and various locations throughout
the state. Follow this link for more information: http://www.morehouse4less.com House Keys 4 EmployeesJohns Hopkins University
is one of the first employers to join with the state to offer this exciting
new program to its employees. Qualifying employees are eligible for funds from
the State of Maryland to apply towards the purchase of a home in the form of
a 0% deferred loan. To qualify employees must be eligible for the Live Near
Your Work Program and also use The Maryland Community Development Administration
(CDA) loan. The Department of Housing and Community Development will match contributions
dollar-for-dollar, up to $5,000, toward down payment and closing costs from
participating employers. The employer's contribution may be combined with assistance
from local jurisdictions, unions and/or nonprofit agencies; however, the House
Keys 4 Employees match will not exceed $5,000. The match is in the form of a
0% deferred loan that is repayable at the time of payoff or refinance, or upon
the sale or transfer of the house. This assistance is over and above what is
available through the standard down payment and closing cost assistance programs,
allowing some borrowers to have more choices in buying a home. Maryland Prepaid College TrustAn affordable way to prepay for a child's future college education. Benefits of the program can be used towards tuition and mandatory fees at public and private colleges or universities throughout the United States.
