A salary structure, comprised of a set of salary ranges, has been established for each role in the Staff Compensation Program. A job is assigned to a salary range based on its market value. Every year, compensation staff reviews our salary ranges to ensure they remain competitive with the market.

Staff member's pay will fall somewhere within the appropriate salary range for the job, depending on performance, relevant qualification and experience, and internal equity with other salaries in the department, school, and/or university.
