When: Friday, October 31, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm
Where: Glass Pavilion, Levering Hall on the Homewood Campus (Shuttle service is available between campuses.)
You can enjoy lunch and vote for your favorite meat chili, vegetarian chili, and baked goods (while supplies last). Lunch, sponsored by the Johns Hopkins Federal Credit Union, includes chili, cornbread, dessert, and a beverage. Admission prices: $5 if you wear a Halloween costume and $10 if you do not. More...

United Way Food Truck Frenzy Arrives on Oct. 23rd (November 2012)

Buy lunch and help improve the lives of people in our community at the United Way Food Truck Frenzy on Tuesday, Oct. 23, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. - rain or shine. Dine on menu choices from a fleet of food trucks from various restaurants and vendors with selections ranging from gourmet burgers to cupcakes. The Food Truck Frenzy convoy will be located in the driveways in front of MSE Library and Wyman Park, as well as on Broadway Circle, in front of the historic Johns Hopkins Hospital Dome, Johns Hopkins Bayview, Health Care, Keswick, Mt. Calling all Chefs, Bakers, and Tasters

What: Annual Johns Hopkins Chili Cook-Off and Bake-Off

When: Friday, November 9, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm

Where: Glass Pavilion, Levering Hall on the Homewood Campus (Shuttle service is available between campuses.)

Enter your chili or baked good free of charge. Special guest judges will announce prizes for first, second and third place around 12:45 pm. Contestants are also eligible for a “People’s Choice” award in the chili and baked good categories based on the popular vote.

For $5, spectators can enjoy lunch and vote for their favorite chili and baked goods (while supplies last). Lunch, sponsored by the Johns Hopkins Credit Union, includes chili, cornbread, dessert and a beverage.

All proceeds benefit United Way of Central Maryland and the Johns Hopkins Neighborhood Fund. Register at www.jhu.edu/unitedway. More...

The Johns Hopkins Neighborhood Fund, part of the institution’s United Way of Central Maryland campaign, supports nonprofit organizations that serve communities located near a Johns Hopkins campus and that are associated with Johns Hopkins through institutional, employee, retiree, or student involvement. Pledge designations to the Neighborhood Fund provide one-year grants to local nonprofits building stronger neighborhoods by targeting these community needs:
