Important change on candidate background checks (November 2015)

The university has contracted with a new vendor to perform the final candidates’ background checks, employment and education verifications as part of the pre-employment process. We transitioned from ADP (our previous vendor) to Universal on October 12, 2015.

H-1B Visa Sponsorship Amendment to the Personnel Policy (November 2013)

The university personnel policy Section 3: Recruiting and Employment was amended to add item G, identifying requirements for the sponsorship of an H-1B visa to include minimum qualifications for sponsorship that is consistent with United States Citizenship & Immigration Services [USCIS] regulations. The Office of International Scholars and Student Services (Homewood Campus), the Office of International Student Services (East Baltimore Campus) and the Office of Human Resources have collaborated on and confirmed the procedures and practices to support the policy.
