Health Care Reform Update (October 2013)

Health Care Reform (HCR) is expected to have minimal impact on JHU in 2014. One new provision to note is the individual mandate. This dictates that, effective January 1, 2014, nearly everyone must have health care coverage or pay a penalty when they file for 2014 income taxes. The individual mandate will have minimal impact on benefits-eligible employees due to our waive coverage policy.
