Out of the Darkness Walk on Saturday, May 4 (May 2013)

The Johns Hopkins Student Assistance Program (JHSAP) is helping organize an American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) “Out of the Darkness” campus walk to raise awareness and money for suicide prevention. Faculty, staff, students, families, and friends are invited to participate by walking and/or raising funds. “This is a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness and visibility while also targeting prevention,” says Dawn Shafer, JHSAP program manager. The 3+ mile walk will start at the School of Nursing on Saturday, May 4 at 10 a.m. We need volunteers to get the word out, to help on the day of the walk and, of course, to WALK! To register, go to http://afsp.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.event&eventID=2354. Please contact Dawn Shafer, for more information: dshafer3@jhmi.edu or 443-997-7000.
