Cover Message from Charlene Moore Hayes (October 2015)

Our annual benefits enrollment will soon be upon us; it runs from October 14 through November 11. This year, in addition to making your medical, dental and life insurance changes, you’ll also make decisions around how you want your 403(b) retirement plan money invested beginning January 1, 2016. The retirement changes have been prompted by federal regulations governing 403(b) retirement plans. This has presented us with an opportunity to improve both the resources and the services we offer to 403(b) plan participants. Action will be required, so review all of your 2016 benefit decisions—health, life and retirement— by visiting benefits.jhu.edu/mychoices. Over the coming weeks, the Benefits staff will be hosting many “live” opportunities to help you understand the changes and to answer your questions. Check the schedule that appears in this HR Newswire and the Benefits website for specifics. We’re looking forward to seeing you!
