2015 Annual Benefits Enrollment Closed

Online annual enrollment for 2015 university benefits ended on November 12. All full-time benefits eligible faculty and staff will receive a confirmation of their elections by mail in mid-December. If you determine after receiving your confirmation that your enrollment is not correct, please follow the procedure outlined below:

     • Email the university Benefits Service Center at no later than 12/31/14 with the correction.
     • Enter “2015 Annual Enrollment Correction” in the subject line.
     • You will receive a return email acknowledging receipt of your request.
     • A corrected confirmation statement will be mailed to you in January.

2015 Contribution Limits for 403(b) Plan

The Internal Revenue Service recently announced the annual 403(b) limits for 2015. They are as follows:

     • Pre-tax Elective Deferral - $ 18,000 (was $17,500 in 2014)
     • Age 50 & Over Catch-up - $ 6,000 (was $5,500 in 2014))
     • Overall by Employer/Employee - $ 53,000 (was $52,000 in 2014)
     • Annual Compensation - $265,000 (was $260,000 in 2014)

Help Brighten the Holidays for Families, Seniors, and Adults with Disabilities

All Hopkins faculty, staff, students, and retirees are invited to help brighten the holidays for families, seniors, and adults with disabilities facing hardships. The Office of Work, Life and Engagement partners with local nonprofit and social service agencies to provide gifts, clothing, and grocery gift cards to families and individuals who are in need of assistance during the holiday season.

Individuals and groups interested in adopting a family or senior should complete the online registration form no later than Thursday, December 11. More...

Vernon Rice Memorial Holiday Turkey Program Provides Food during the December Holidays

Thanks to employee generosity, almost 60 families and seniors will receive a food basket for Thanksgiving. Additional food baskets are needed for the December Holidays.

You are invited to donate $20 to provide a basket of a fresh turkey and vegetables from a local and free-range farm for a family in need. St. Anthony of Padua Church will deliver the food baskets directly to families for the December holidays. All donations must be received by December 5. More...

Important HR Changes

Holiday Calendar and E210

In response to the recent change to the University's Holiday Calendar, the ½ day holiday prep code (HP) has been removed from the E210 code drop down box and December 24 and December 31 have been changed to full day Holidays. All December 2014 timesheets submitted prior to 09/09/2014 have been reset.
