Staff members eligible to be recognized are full- and part-time employees celebrating anniversaries beginning with five years of service and in five-year increments thereafter and whose anniversaries fall between July 11, 2012 and July 10, 2013.

Live Near Your Work: Take a Walking Tour of Patterson Park and Highlandtown

Highlandtown and Patterson Park were named the hottest neighborhoods in Baltimore City for 2013 (they were numbers 2 and 4, respectively, according to real estate website Zillow)! Discover what makes these park-facing neighborhoods destinations for home buyers at this special tour presented by the Johns Hopkins Live Near Your Work (LNYW) Program and the Southeast Community Development Corporation. Learn about low-interest Healthy Neighborhoods loans and other home buying incentives, including Johns Hopkins Live Near Your Work grants. Attend this or any 2013 walking tour event and you will receive an additional $1,000 towards the down payment/closing costs of a home in the A, B or C target areas. (Buyer must settle on or before June 30, 2014.)

The Office of Work, Life and Engagement hosts educational workshops for faculty and staff from noon to 1:00 pm on the Homewood and East Baltimore campuses. Because these workshops are brought to you at no cost as part of your HR benefits package, we would like feedback on the topics that interest you or would be helpful in pursuing work/life effectiveness.
