Here’s a testimonial from a current member.

“Toastmasters has given me the opportunity to grow not only as a speaker, but as a leader. On May 21, 2014 I was officially installed as the President of a Toastmasters Club. It was a brand new club and I was charged to lead a board of three other officers and 20 club members total. Prior to this, I had never had formal leadership experience. But through my Toastmasters work, I gained experience giving and receiving constructive and encouraging feedback. Leading the officers’ board gave me experience in delegation, active listening, and team building. I also started programs like mentoring and incentives to ensure the needs of our members were being met. Not only are there opportunities to lead within the club, there are chances to grow and lead at the area, division and district levels. I’d recommend Toastmasters to anyone who is looking to gain hands-on leadership experience.”
- Linnea D. Johnson, Program Coordinator, Human Resources Business Services 2014-2015 President; 2015-2016 VP of Membership
