myWellness Choices 2014 - Physical Activity

The health benefits of regular exercise and physical activity are hard to ignore. JHU can help you stay physically active whether you feel like you are a beginner or an expert, or whether you feel like you have 5 minutes or 45 minutes a day to devote to exercise. During the month of April, the Benefits Office will be highlighting programs that promote physical activity. Check out the resources and discounts available to you through JHU.

Fitness Center Discounts

JHU offers employee discounts at the Ralph S. O'Connor Recreation Center and the Cooley Center as well as at additional fitness centers throughout the greater Baltimore area. Contact the fitness centers directly for discount information.

Workplace Fitness Programs

The Office of Benefits Services sponsors workplace wellness programs for benefits eligible faculty and staff members. The Benefits Office subsidizes 50 percent of the cost giving you a 50 percent discounted rate. Workplace fitness classes include Cardio Fusion, Muscle Toning and Conditioning and Zumba. Visit the Benefits website to view class descriptions, flyers, and pricing. Register for a class through the online registration system while you are there. Classes are open to all skill levels.
