What is a "Professional" Clothing Drive?

What Kind of Clothing Can I Donate?  ||  Where Can I Drop Off Clothing?

Schedule of Pick-Up Dates

Help formerly homeless men and women just entering or re-entering the workforce by donating your gently-used (or new!) professional clothing, through the Johns Hopkins Professional Clothing Drives. Men's and women's clothing is delivered to Paul's Place, Christopher Place Employment Academy , Women's Housing Coalition , Earl’s Place, St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore, Franciscan Center or National Student Partnerships.

What Kind of Clothing Can Be Donated?

Donated clothing should be:

The general rule is:  if you would not want to wear it because of its condition, don't donate it to someone else who needs to make a good first impression when looking for a job.

Where Can I Drop Off Clothing for Pick Up?

Clothing is picked up from several locations throughout the university.  Please deliver clothing no later than the day before the drive.  Because men's and women's clothing is being delivered to two different places, please separate men's and women's clothing before you drop it off - put it in two different, marked bags. Also, please do not place clothing on hangers as they make pickup and delivery challenging and dangerous.

PLEASE CONTACT THE APPROPRIATE PERSON LISTED BELOW TO ARRANGE TO DROP-OFF YOUR CLOTHING DONATION:

Schedule of Pick-Up Dates

2010 collection dates to be announced.

Please call the appropriate contact (above) to verify pick-up dates. Please be sure to deliver your clothing IN ADVANCE of the scheduled pick-up, and separate women's and men's clothing, which will be taken to two separate agencies and cannot be sorted by the coordinators.

It is helpful to the agencies if you donate clothing appropriate to the season of the collection, since agencies generally have very limited storage space.
